Stop the Presses! Banoffee Stout Has Landed…

The latest edition to our range of specials has arrived in time for the festive season and it is tasting out of this world.

Half Milk Stout, Half Dunkelweiss

Utilising Natural Banana Esters derived from Belgian Yeast, coupled with traditional English Toffee.

Brewing techniques from both countries go into this flavour powerhouse. Hope you left some room after dinner! It’s beer for pudding this year.


We bottled this beer and made 12 casks… that lasted all of five minutes so today we are brewing another 42 Casks to take us up to Christmas and hopefully into the new year.

This rich creamy Stout starts with a smooth, chocolatey hit then develops with fruity banana notes at the tip of the tongue, finishing with a sweet burnt toffee finish.

Something Crimson This Way Comes.

The latest addition to our range of one-off specials has arrived.

We popped this beer into casks today and it is tasting MAGNIFICENT.

An All-American Red Ale packed with fresh American hops that give this beer a delightful citrus aroma. With a huge base of Caramel Malt this Red Ale has a perfect balance of sweet malts and bitter hops.

Simcoe, Amarillo, Cascade and Columbus go into this hop-powerhouse. Without further ado, meet…..



With a name stolen entirely from a King Crimson song, this is the mother of all Red Ales. We only have 10 casks available that are going out next week. So look out for this Crafty Hare popping up, cos it won’t be around for long.

A fine ale taking inspiration from the land of Hopportunity, brewed with the tradition of the land of Hop and Glory………………………

This beer seeks to reclaim the IPA as an English hopped recipe. We’re taking it back to Burton. Super Hoppy, Super Tasty. An old style through a new lens.

CRAFTY HARE is coming out with a new special every 6 weeks following a basic and fundamental philosophy:

  • Use Good Ingredients
  • Respect The Heritage, Refine The Modern
  • Make Good Beer

Stowaway is a one-off brew so will be Hare today, Gone tomorrow.

Joint Venture with GIG & New Premises




Berkhamsted, Herts: November 29, 2016: Haresfoot Brewery is about to embark on an exciting new chapter relocating to the Global Infusion Group (GIG) premises in the New Year. GIG, headquartered in Chesham, offers a great location a short distance from Haresfoot Farm which inspired our name.

Scott Carter, Haresfoot Brewery’s founder and Head Brewer, says: “We are delighted that GIG is now an investor and we welcome Tony Laurenson to the Board. The partnership brings a sustainable cost base from which we can grow. GIG is a global catering, brand support and live event specialist and the two companies see a multitude of exciting opportunities to collaborate bringing Haresfoot beers into new markets evolving and developing the brand.”

Tony Laurenson said: “I’m delighted to welcome Haresfoot Brewery to our site. Partnering with companies throughout the world has played an important role in GIG’s success over the last 32 years and I’m really looking forward to the potential of having a brewery in the fold.”

He added: “As a local lad myself, and with the GIG business based in Buckinghamshire, I am extremely proud of my roots.  Although we trade across the globe we are also a business that is constantly looking for opportunities closer to home. It’s why we launched our Bonnie May Events enterprise in 2014 so that local people and businesses can access our expertise.  Haresfoot Brewery is a great concept to bring back local brewery traditions to this area, and with GIG’s support I’m sure we can really help to grow the business.”

Haresfoot Brewery produces a range of craft beers including Conqueror’s Premium Bitter, Totem American IPA and seasonal specials such as Weisse Ale and has exciting plans for expansion.


We plan to be up and running in January. In the mean time we have built up sufficient stock so that supply of beer to our pub customers will be seamless. Cask Ale will remain a core offering as will our bottled beers for individual and commercial customers

We are very proud to have started and grown up within the Berkhamsted community and are extremely appreciative of the support that has been so generously given to us. So it is not without sadness that we will be leaving River Park in the New Year. However we see a great future ahead for our employees and a thriving brewery. We will continue to run a plethora of events in and around Berkhamsted. Of course our membership packages will be fully honoured.

In the meantime, as the run up to Christmas beckons, our shop at 2 River Park Berkhamsted will be open to offer a great range of Christmas gifts (see website for opening hours)  and don’t miss the events in Berkhamsted and at our current home:

  • Fri    2nd December – Castle Street Christmas Carol Concert and Cabaret
  • Fri   16th December – Carols in the Brewery led by Notes Unlimited
  • Sat  17th December – Xmas MusicFest –  do come and join us for this charity ticketed event with    4 outstanding bands
  • Sun 18th December – Berkhamsted Farmers Market.
